The third visit of researchers from CBK PAN in CNR

In August, dr Edyta Woźniak and Michał Krupiński spent two weeks with the scientists from Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (IGG) of National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in Italy. They have participated in various field campaign, learning and gaining practical experience in the practical aspects of CO2 emissions measurements in mountain ecosystems.

Thanks to hospitability of CNR and Grand Paradiso National Park, both scientists from Poland could gain the knowledge about environmental aspects of nature preservation and monitoring. The issues covered during the secondment included:

  • alien invasive species monitoring using remote sensing
  • CO2 fluxes measurements in various types of Alpine pastures
